Lake Ossipee

Lake Ossipee is a large freshwater lake located in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located in the town of Ossipee and is surrounded by the towns of Freedom, Effingham, and Madison. The lake covers 3,300 acres and measures 3.5 miles by 2.5 miles. The lake is a popular destination for boating, swimming, fishing, and camping. It has nine public beaches, two boat ramps, and numerous marinas. The lake is also home to many types of fish, including smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and brown trout. In the winter months, the lake is a popular spot for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and ice skating.
